Robert Valdes (Bob) has over 30 years’ experience in the Biotechnology Industry and currently serves as co-founder of Biotech Resources Group (USA) and InnoAsia Co. Ltd (Hangzhou, China)
Prior to BRG, Bob was Director, Large-Scale Manufacturing at Human Genome Sciences (now GSK) where he oversaw the manufacture of HGS’ first commercial product. Bob was the first manufacturing engineer hired by HGS in 2000 for their Large-Scale Manufacturing facility design effort where he was very hands-on from Business Concept to Commercialization.
Prior to Bob’s 12-year tenure at HGS, he was employed by Lonza Biologics (US/UK) from 1994-2000 in various positions in manufacturing design, start-up, and operations. His first job as an undergrad, Bob worked in Boston at Charm Sciences as a pilot-plant microbiologist where he cultivated, lyophilized, and tested a variety of microbes for use in approved food safety diagnostic devices.
Mr. Valdes holds Master’s Degrees from the University of Massachusetts and Johns Hopkins and a B.A. in Microbiology from the University of New Hampshire.
Sue is Founder and President of BioTech Resources Group, LLC, a staffing & GMP Consultant company serving clients in the Clinical, Regulatory, and Commercial areas of biotech. These clients are comprised of biotech, pharma and CRO companies throughout the US and east Asia.
Sue’s responsibilities include full life-cycle recruiting, strategic business development and account management. Her goal is simple: finding the right talent for the right job.
BioTech Resources Group (BRG) was established in Q4/2000. Sue has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Human Resource Management focus) from Southern New Hampshire University. She was the Business Manager at two staffing firms in NH before starting her own business. Sue lives in Gaithersburg, MD with her husband Bob and enjoys swimming, her family, pets, and reading. Originally from the northeast, Sue and Bob have lived in Maryland for 20 years.
